Mary May A. Macasinag, 24, is the Pastor of Desert Revival Church in Chandler, Arizona. She has been pastoring the church for over four years, and has the vision is to see the people of God walk in power, be overcomers and bring the love of Jesus to every mankind by planting churches all over the world.
Mary May is originally from the Philippines and grew up in Manila. When she was 17, she received Jesus into her life in Singapore, where she was studying at the University of Oxford in Marketing and Public Relations. As she grew in her knowledge and relationship with Christ, she became involved in many different ministries such as the children’s ministry, ushering, discipleship, and worship team. Then God called her to go to America and start a church. She became pastor of Desert Revival Church in April 2000. “Jesus gave His life for me. How can I not live for Him? I want to share the unconditional love that God gave to me unto others as well.”
Pastor Varun Laohaprasit often comments about how God has used a simple young lady like Sister Mary May to touch many people’s lives. It is her humility and servant-like attitude that has opened the door for God to use her.
Under the direction of Pastor Mary May, Desert Revival Church has been involved in feeding the hungry, youth street ministry and in-house gatherings where they shared the Gospel and God’s love to people of all ethnic backgrounds.
Mary May’s family has been very supportive and instrumental in helping her plant the church in Phoenix. “My Family is awesome! My Dad is the love of my life and my Mom is my true joy and happiness. My brother RJ is my strong encourager and my youngest brother, Lemer, is my inspiration in music and my sister gives me wonderful memories.” The entire family is actively involved in the Desert Revival Church.
Currently, Mary May is studying music at Gilbert Community College in Chandler, AZ. She enjoys playing tennis with Madel, bowling with her family and friends. She is an admirer of abstract paintings and loves spending time with her dog and rabbits.
She would like to encourage all believers to love God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your strength (Deut. 6:5). And to live your lives serving Him and His People. “This is what God wants us to do. We are the Anchor Generation! Let’s run the race with all might and faith, until Jesus comes back again. God Bless you all!”
