At New Hope International Church, we believe that teamwork is essential to our success. We recognize and respect the way God has called people to function—uniquely and in unity—within the church body. Below is a list of the different ministries at our church.

The Membership Ministry provides encouragement, support, and education to born-again Christians who attend services and caregroups on a regular basis at New Hope International Church, and who desire to become members of our congregation according to the biblical need to be part of a local church family.

The Services Ministry supports the Senior Pastor in guiding the congregation into God’s will. Services Ministry team members include ushers and people in charge of managing and coordinating church services and special events. With a commitment to excellence, the Services Ministry’s main goal is to create a safe, loving and caring community in the house of God.

In today’s high-technology world, the Multimedia Ministry ensures that God’s message is presented with the greatest impact possible. This ministry includes creating, running, and recording PowerPoint song presentations, video presentations, sermon recordings, and more!

The Media and Press Relations ministry helps communicate the purpose and message of New Hope International Church to the public through the church Web site, International Press and social media outlets.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” At New Hope International Church, we believe this important ministry is not just a daycare to watch children, but rather an opportunity to introduce our little ones to Jesus and grow them into followers of Christ. The Children’s Ministry offers Sunday School classes during the morning service and family-friendly events throughout the year.

At New Hope International Church, we teach and train our youth—students in middle school and high school—to be faithful and active in their walk with Christ. The youth are passionate about Jesus and it shows in their lifestyle.

The Meal Preparation Ministry is composed primarily of volunteers who have a passion for cooking, and who want to help provide their brothers and sisters in the church with an opportunity to fellowship by “breaking bread” together. New Hope International Church offers congregational lunch every two weeks at the Mercer Island campus, and every week after service at the Mountlake Terrace campus.

The importance of prayer is exemplified in Jesus—our perfect model. He woke up early every morning to pray to the Father in heaven. The Prayer Ministry ensures that members in our church are praying for the needs of the church, fellow members, friends, family, neighborhood, city, nation, and the world.

In response to Jesus’ Great Commission to “make disciples of all nations,” our church’s mission and vision are to go and make disciples of all nations and to build glorious churches holy and blameless in our generation. The focus of our missions department is coordinate the sending of teams to spread the gospel, make disciples, plant churches, and strengthen existing churches.

Ben Johnson, Worship Ministry

Psalm 33:3 says “Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” The Worship Ministry aims to bring people into the presence of Almighty God by singing and playing musical instruments. Volunteers in this ministry dedicate many hours of practice to learning new songs and leading people into the presence of God through praise and worship.

The evangelism and outreach ministry is all about sharing God’s love with the community. It’s about preaching the gospel and doing good deeds, such as distributing food and blankets to poor people in our local community.

The Maturity and Christian Education Ministry organizes classes and publishes Bible lessons to equip and train members of New Hope International Church with Biblical truths. The goal is to build people into mature and fruitful disciples of Jesus.

The Caregroup Ministry supports the many different caregroups within New Hope International Church. We believe caregroups are one of the best ways for people get connected with one another and grow in their relationship with God. Members participate in worship, teaching, sharing, prayer, fellowship and evangelism in this small group setting. Future caregroup leaders are raised and trained from within the caregroup. We encourage everyone to not only attend a caregroup but to get involved in building this important ministry!
